On June 18, 2013, Acorn Distributors received its WBE (Women Business Enterprise) certification from the Mayor's Minority Business Development Division of Indianapolis. Acorn previously received its WBE certification from the Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises Division of the Indiana Department of Administration. 

 

In 2019, the company received federal approval as being WOSB (Woman Owned Small Business). In 2020, Acorn received its certification for Louisville, Kentucky.

 

In 2023, Acorn received its certification from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council.

 

The certifications encompass wholesale distribution services which includes paper products, janitorial equipment and foodservice equipment. ​
